Man dies, another hurt in rollover crash near Electric City

A man is dead and another man is hurt after a rollover crash just south of Electric City Wednesday morning.

Grant County deputies say Brandon Buche was driving a 2006 Jeep Wrangler on Bay Area Drive near Coulee View Road around 2:00 a.m. when he failed to see a curve in the road. The jeep then hit a soft gravel ditch and rolled.

Buche was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, he was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

His passenger, a 23-year-old Brandon Boutain of Almira, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Deputies say alcohol did play a role in the crash.
