Kids Fishing Discover Dead Body at Scootney Reservoir

(Mesa, WA) -- A group of children who were fishing discovered human remains Sunday night. This happened at the Scootney Reservoir near the northern border of Franklin County along State Highway 17. Police were called and confirmed the discovery of a dead body and called the coroner to join the investigation. The remains were found to be in an advanced state of decomposition along the cattails of the west side of the reservoir. The investigation into the discovery is beginning.
