Kennewick Standoff For Wanted Man

A 24-year old man is now in custody after an almost three-hour standoff in Kennewick on Thursday.

Kennewick Police, Benton County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with area SWAT teams were on the scene in the area of East 7th Avenue and Fir Street.

Joseph Ayala was wanted on a felony violation of a no-contact order.

After chemical agents were dispensed, Ayala came out with his hands up.
