Kennewick police search for man suspected of hit and run, assaulting ex-girlfriend

Kennewick police are searching for a man suspected of breaking into a home, assaulting his ex-girlfriend and getting into a hit and run crash.

Officers say Darren Yeater is believed to have got into a crash around 6 p.m. off Edison Street on the 240 overpass, but he took off before police arrived. Officers then say about 3 hours later, the 26-year-old broke into his ex-girlfriend's house and assaulted her off E. 5th Ave. He then took off before police arrived.
