Police: Kennewick man arrested for assault, holding knife to girlfriend’s throat
A man is behind bars after his girlfriend says he climb on top of her, stuffed a rag in her mouth, and held a knife to her throat.
A Kennewick woman called police around 9:00 p.m. after the woman said 51-year-old Bert Morgan assaulted her. She says he got on top of her while she was asleep Tuesday night and he held a knife to her throat when she resisted him and attempted to scream.
Officers say the 51-year old man eventually got into a car and took off from the home on S. Ranier Place, but Kennewick Police say he returned to the home a few hours later.
Police say when they learned Morgan was back they attempted to get him to come out. But finally got a search warrant and entered the home, where they found the man and arrested him.
He now faces charges of Felony Harassment and Assault 2nd Degree Domestic Violence
