MINNEAPOLIS, Min. - The iconic yellow Schwan's truck has seen an increase in demand, now that everyone is home for the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order. KONA spoke with the Director of Communications for Schwan's Home Delivery, Jennifer Rock, and confirmed the company has seen a large increase in sales since the deadly COVID-19 virus began to spread.

"Our order volume is up and our products are experiencing high demand," said Rock. Schwan's is working hard to keep their inventory filled in order to meet the demand. Items may go temporarily out of stock but they are working with suppliers to help speed up the process of getting more product.

"The basis of what we do hasn't changed but how we do what we do certainly has"

Because of the six foot social distancing rule, in order to comply and keep employees and customers safe, the company will not be greeting you like normal. But they will be there to deliver the products directly to your door. Rock said, "Usually the smiles and conversations we normally have with customers happen at the door and now the conversations happen at a safe six foot distance."

Orders can be made at their website. Jennifer Rock says they are also taking precautionary measures at all depots across the country. There are 18 depots in Washington and Oregon. The company has about 166 employees in the two states but say they are actively working to hire more, as the demand for more product rises.
