Most eastern Washington under Extreme Fire Danger

The Washington State Department of Natural Resources has extended the Extreme Fire Danger designation from just Benton and Franklin counties to include Yakima, Klickitat, Asotin and Chelan counties.

Firefighters are discourage burning and ask you to contact your local fire department to see if burning is banned. Anyone traveling or staying in Okanogan County is currently not able to have campfires.

The rest of eastern and southwestern Washington has a High Fire Danger.
