Driver Dead After Semi Rolls Off of Freeway Overpass in Yakima

(Yakima, WA) -- A fatal accident brought traffic to a halt in Yakima Tuesday morning. According to the Washington State Patrol, a semi truck and trailer rolled off of an overpass at Highway 12, landing on 1st Street which forced area road and ramp closures along with traffic delays on both SR 12 and I-82. The driver of the truck is deceased.

No other vehicles were involved, but the crash is under investigation.
