Firefighters rescued two dogs from a home in Walla Walla which was heavily damaged due to a fire.

Firefighters were called to the home at 2237 Crosshaven Drive in Walla Walla Tuesday afternoon after the next door neighbor noticed the flames. The Walla Walla Fire Chief Bob Yancey was the first to arrive at the home and reported flames were coming out of the front windows and hitting eaves of the house.

No one was home at the time of the fire, but two dogs were able to be rescued. The cause is under investigation. Firefighters from stations 1 and 2 and fire District 4 assisted with the fire.
