Deputy Seattle Fire Chief Missing In Kittitas County

(Yakima, WA) -- The search continues today for a Seattle Fire Department deputy chief missing in Yakima or Kittitas county. Police say Jay Schreckengost was last heard from on Tuesday, when he texted his wife to let her know he had arrived at the Squaw Rock Resort for his hunting trip. Schreckengost was missing when his son arrived to join him at the camp on Wednesday. His vehicle was later found in Kittitas County. A group of firefighters from Seattle has traveled there to help with the search.
