A burglar was caught in the act Tuesday morning south of Soap Lake.

Grant County Sheriff's Deputies say they were called to the 17000 block of Road B.5-Northeast for trespassing. A deputy arrived to find a pickup truck backed up to the shop door. The deputy then found Patrick Walker inside the shop and arrested him. Deputies say the truck was later found to have been stolen. Other deputies and a Soap Lake police officer came as back up and checked the shop but found no other people inside.

The 27-year-old Ephrata man had also been a suspect of previous burglaries and could face charges of suspicion of residential burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle.
