Cool Desert Nights and Hogs & Dogs hosting virtual event

WEST RICHLAND, Wash.-- As with so many other iconic summer events in the Tri-Cities, the annual Cool Desert Nights car show and Hogs & Dogs motorcycle show, normally held in June, had to be cancelled due to social distancing restrictions put in place in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

However, the West Richland Chamber of Commerce has scheduled an online event that takes place Saturday, July 25, 2020.

There's no cost to participate, just upload a photo of your collectible car or motorcycle to register. You'll also receive 20 collector cards showcasing your vehicle.

Several local businesses are sponsoring the event in order to make it free for participants, though you can also purchase either a Cool Desert Night's or Hogs & Dogs "virtual cruise" t-shirt.

May Hays with the West Richland Chamber of Commerce says they're hoping this will be the one and only virtual cruise. Next year's Cool Desert Nights and Hogs & Dogs events are scheduled for June 24-27, 2021.
