Clean-up plan proposed for Pasco Landfill
The Washington State Ecology Department is taking public comment on a proposed clean-up plan for the Pasco Landfill.
The recommendation calls for the excavation and removal of 35-thousand buried drums of industrial waste.
In 2002, about five thousand drums of herbicide-manufacturing waste were dug up and sent off-site for incineration and disposal.
The community discussion is slated for September 17th at 630pm at Virgie Robinson Elementary School.
