BCSO Announces Initiative to Help Ukraine Police

(Kennewick, WA) -- The Benton County Sheriff's Office has announced the start of an initiative to compile ship much needed equipment to police in Ukraine. Officers in the eastern European country have requested assistance getting supplies such as tourniquets, gauze pads and bandages, thermal wear, toiletries and other necessities. "Ukraine police may be miles away, but law enforcement officers are asking for help so we will answer their call," said Sheriff Tom Croskrey.BCSO will serve as the staging area for all donations in Washington state.
