Woman arrested in Kennewick believed to be involved in Spokane identity theft ring

A woman arrested in Kennewick, is believed to be apart of a Spokane identity theft ring.

Officers say Cherokee Smith was arrested after shoplifting at Wal-Mart and provided an ID that was not hers. An investigation into the ID revealed that the owner of the ID had been the victim of identity theft out of Spokane.

Spokane County Sheriff's office says her arrest leads to a break in an active investigation.
