A teacher is on administrative leave following a report of inappropriate contact with a student. The Grandview School District says the incident happened on March 3rd at the High School.

The Grandview police department says they started an investigation into 26-year-old Zachery Sybouts after being informed by the school district of a report of an inappropriate relationship.

Officers say during the investigation they discovered he possibly had more than one inappropriate relationship.

Officers say he was arrested at his home Wednesday. Search warrants have already been issued to recover evidence from his home.

Sybouts is set to be charged with coercion, sexual exploration of a minor, communicating with a minor for immoral purposes and possession of depictions of minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The district said in a statement they don't make judgement but if the allegations are true they say it, "represent a breach of our trust and a disappointing departure from our standards for all district employees."

If parents have questions they are asked to contact Human Resource Director Matt Mallery at 509-882-8500.

Anyone with more information or a potential victim are asked to call police at 509-882-2000.
