A 17-year-old suspected of shooting and killing a man in a Boardman trailer park, turned himself in Monday night.

Boardman police say the 17-year-old walked into a police department in Cowlitz County, Washington, Monday night and has now been charged with murder and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.

Officers say on Sunday night around 9:00 p.m. they responded to a incident at a trailer park off of 600 Wilson. Officers say when they arrived Evencio Birrueta, 27, had been shot in the shoulder area of the arm. Officers started lifesaving measures but the man died at the scene.

Police say they were assisted by Morrow County EMS and Board Rural Fire and the Umatilla and Morrow Major Crime team. The case is still under investigation.
