Yakima Police Warn of Potential Phone Scam Targeting Businesses

(Yakima, WA) -- Yakima Police are warning of some phone calls that took place Thursday targeting businesses in the area. The caller(s) identified themselves as members of the “Mexican Mafia” and made threats to rob and/or shoot at the businesses.

YPD currently believes the calls are a hoax.
