KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Two suspects were taken into custody after a chase that started in Richland and ended in Kennewick early Monday morning.

The car, described as a silver sedan with a sun roof, matched the description of a vehicle that had fled the scene of a pair of armed robberies.

Kennewick Police responded to a robbery at the Circle K at W. 10th Ave. and S. Union St. at about 1:10 a.m. Monday.

A clerk at the store told police that two men with their faces covered with bandannas had demanded cash then fled in a vehicle with a loud muffler.

"We contained the area and had our K9 come out to begin a track, and as the K9 track was happening we were able to see in video footage that the suspects had fled the area in a vehicle," said Officer Zach Armitage with the Kennewick Police Department.

At about 2:25 a.m., Richland Police were called to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven on George Washington Way at Spengler.

The clerk told police that two men had demanded cash at gunpoint and fled in a silver-colored sedan with a sun roof.

Officers spotted the car as it headed toward Highway 240 and tried to pull it over.

According to Kennewick Police, the car stopped in the parking lot of the Red Lion Inn at Columbia Center Boulevard and Quinalt, and two males bailed on foot.

Ismael Campos, 25, faces armed robbery charges, while Tanner James Montgomery, 23, being held on suspicion of armed robbery and attempt to elude. The charges filed so far are only in relation to Monday morning's robbery in Richland, according to Cpt. Chris Lee with the Richland Police Department.

Investigators are also trying to determine whether the pair could be connected to Sunday morning's robbery at the Circle K on Columbia Center Blvd, and Pasco Police are looking into whether the men are connected to a strong-armed robbery that happened in Pasco Sunday afternoon.
