Tour dates for Hanford Cleanup site announced

The date to sign-up for a tour of the Hanford Cleanup site has just been announced Friday.

Mark Heeter with the Department of Energy says the first day of registration is Tuesday April 11th at 9 a.m. This year the department added a few more dates, with 20 total tours of the cleanup site. The actual tour dates run from May to September.

Even with more dates, Heeter says historically all the slots fill up the first morning of registration.

Sign-ups will be online at the Department of Energy website. The only difference this year is that the tours will start at Mission Support Alliance.
