“Tele PT” is taking off during COVID pandemic

PASCO, Wash- A few years ago, Tele-Medicine really took off…and online or virtual physical therapy soon followed.

"P-T is such a hands-on therapy that you go in to get, and it really hasn't taken off", notes Oasis Physical Therapy CEO Mindy Irvine. "But, in this day and age, when people want to stay safe, and they want to get the therapy in their home, more and more clinics across the country are learning how to do it".

Oasis Physical Therapy is offering "Tele PT", not only for rehabilitation patients, but for those essential professionals in the health care field who are being asked to work more during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"People are at home and they don't really know what to do. Maybe they are exercising too hard, or they are out gardening in their garden and they hurt something, but they want to honor the "Stay Home" order and they don't want to go in, or they feel that it's not quite that bad yet, but it might get that bad", Irvine adds.
