Washington resident who have insurance with Premera, will no longer have Kadlec Regional Medical Center and associated physicians as an in-network provider option after December 31, 2016.

According to an announcement released Wednesday, Providence, Swedish, Pacific Medical Centers and Kadlec decided to not renew their current commercial contract with Premera in Washington for 2017.

The not-for-profit organizations say they tried negotiating a new contract, and claim that Premera was not willing to meet their demands.

Providence made the decision to not renew its commercial contract with all of Premera’s plans in Washington for 2017. Officials say the change does not include Medicare products, and those patients will not be impacted.
