Richland, Wash.--Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is now the first area business to join the newly-formed Kadlec Foundation Corporate Giving Society. The company made a $10,000 gift to the Kadlec Foundation at a check signing event on Monday.

"We're the first. Our hope is that we can provide a little peer pressure, and boost overall corporate giving for the foundation," said WRPS President and CEO John Eschenberg.

The goal of the new Corporate Giving Society campaign is to build partnerships with area companies to support the Kadlec Foundation’s various community health programs. That includes work done through the Healthy Ages program, the Kadlec Neurological Resource Center Library, the CATCH Program (formerly Kadlec Academy), along with health education programs focused on suicide prevention and childhood obesity.

Kadlec Chief Philanthropic Officer Jim Hall hopes the initial investment will serve as a catalyst.

"We're so grateful to WRPS for being the trendsetter in this area. We have tremendous support across our corporate community, and we're look at this to spur additional partnerships."
