Fire destroys Mabton home

The Yakima County fire marshal's office is trying to find out what started a fire that destroyed a home in Mabton Monday night. The fire was reported at about 9:00 PM at a home on 5th Avenue. No one was home when the fire started... and fire investigators say crews had a hard time battling the blaze because there was so much debris in the yard... and the roof collapsed shortly after fire fighters arrived on the scene.
