Walla Walla businessman announces candidacy for State Representative

A Walla Walla County farmer and business owner announced this week that he's running for Representative of the 16th District.

Mark Klicker served as Regional Director of the Washington Farm Bureau from 1997 until 2013.

"Many of those decision have created an undue burden to the 16th legislative district. The hindrance to our property rights, water rights and overregulation have created unnecessary hardships for Eastner Washingtonians," Klicker said in a statement announcing his candidacy.

Representative Bill Jenkin currently holds the 16th District Representative seat, but announced last year that he will not run for reelection, and will instead run for the seat being vacated by State Senator Maureen Walsh.
