Two Men Shot After Trying to Intervene in Possible Assault

(Seattle, WA) -- Police are investigating the shooting of two men who intervened after seeing a woman being assaulted on Beacon Hill. The men were at an encampment near Beacon Avenue South when they saw a man in a car hitting his female passenger. Investigators say the men approached the car, prompting the male suspect to pull out a gun and open fire before speeding away.

Both victims suffered life-threatening injuries. Police are still searching for the suspect.
