(Seattle, WA) -- A man considered a pioneer of U.S. fisheries in the north Pacific is dead. Seattle-based Trident Seafoods co-founder Chuck Bundrant died Sunday at his home in Edmonds, WA. He was 79. Bundrant helped launch Trident in 1972 after working as a deck hand on a crabbing boat.


Trident has eleven seafood processing plants in Alaska along with three in Washington state, one in Minnesota and one in Georgia.
