Would you pull over to help a stranded motorist? According to a recent Pemco Insurance company survey... only about 59-percent of us would. Spokesperson Derek Wing says safety is one factor for some drivers.

"Many people, especially women, say they wouldn't pull over to help someone they don't know. Another factor, is that Northwest people really, really love dogs," Wing said. "They figure that a dog left in a hot car is probably less able to help himself than a human stranded on the side of the road."

The study found that 71-percent of those surveyed would break a window to save a dog from a hot car... while only 59-percent would pull over or call 911 to help a stranded driver.
