OLYMPIA, Wash. - Governor Jay Inslee has announced a change to guidance for spectator events and religious activities.

Effective immediately, sports venues and churches can now increase capacity by offering a special section for vaccinated people who can present a vaccination card, or other proof of receiving the vaccine, including a photo of the card.

Outdoor facilities can add these vaccinated sections until their total capacity is 50% maximum or 22,000 people, whichever is lower. There must be less than 9,000 unvaccinated spectators.

Indoor facilities can add vaccinated sections until their total capacity is 50% maximum or 2,000 people, whichever is lower. In Phase 2, there must be less than 200 unvaccinated people in a room less than 100,000 square feet, or 300 if the room has more than that amount of space. In Phase 3, there must be less that 400 people in a room under 100,000 square feet, and 600 for rooms with a larger space.
