Nine deaths in WA State linked to COVID-19 virus
Seattle, Wash.-- The Washington State Department of Health reports nine deaths attributed to the Cornavirus in Washington State. Earlier in the day, Seattle and King County health officials reported one of the deaths was connected to the COVID-19 virus retroactively.
That patient had been transferred to Harborview Medical Center from the same Life Care Center in Kirkland where other cases have come from. That patient, who had underlying health issues, was admitted February 24th and passed away two days later.
Potentially exposed staff have been contacted by the University of Washington Medicine Employee Health team and are being monitored and screened daily.
