Roslyn snowmobiler dies after hitting tree

A snowmobiler is dead after losing control of his machine on icy conditions and crashing into a tree.

Kittitas County officers say 58-year-old Kevin Sand of Roslyn was climbing a hill with a friend on their snowmobiles when the crash happened on Monday.

Officers say due to the body being located between Van Epps Mine and Lake Anne, as well as, the time of day, the body was recovered the next morning.
