Potential School Calendar Change

OLYMPIA, Wash.- With all the changes to education due to Covid-19, could this be a good time to change the school calendar permanently?

Senator Brad Hawkins says that this is a prime opportunity to try out a year-round school model.

This would spread out the 180 days of vacation, typically used as summer break, over an 12 month period.

The new program would pilot in up to 30 school districts for 3 years.
