Police: Arrest made in deadly Walla Walla shooting

WALLA WALLA, Wash.-- Investigators with the Walla Walla Police Department say a man is in custody in connection with a shooting Friday that left one person dead, another person with serious injuries.

Officers responded to 911 Stadium Dr. just after noon Friday for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, officers reported finding two subjects with gunshot wounds, along with the suspected gunman who was taken into custody.

Stephen Allen Taylor, 47, Walla Walla is suspected of shooting his 43-year old brother, who was taken to the hospital, and their father, Gerald W Taylor, 72, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stephen Allen Taylor faces one charge of Murder in the second degree, and two charges for Assault in the first degree. He's being held in the Walla Walla County Jail.

The Major Crimes Detectives are leading the investigation, with the help of the Street Crimes Unit.
