Pasco man struck, injured on Highway 397

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A Pasco man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car while walking along Highway 397, also known as Chemical Drive, in Kennewick Sunday night.

According to Troopers with the Washington State Patrol, the man, identified as Manuel Gutierrez, 29, tried crossing the highway near 10th Avenue when he was struck by an oncoming car.

The driver of the car, Alfredo Gonzalez, 67, Kennewick, is not expected to face any charges.

Gutierrez was taken to Trios to be treated for his injuries, and could face charges pending the investigation into the crash.
