Oregon State Supreme Court Upholds Legislative Maps

(Salem, OR) -- The Oregon State Supreme Court has upheld the legislative redistricting plan passed by the Oregon Legislature during the September special session. The court dismissed two petitions challenging the plan, finding that the maps met all legal standards required under the Oregon constitution. The map of new congressional districts remains under review by a judicial panel. When that decision is reached, it can be challenged to the Oregon state Supreme Court.
