OKANOGAN, Wash.-- One of the two men who escaped from the Okanogan County Jail is back in custody.

One January 5, 2021, the Sheriff's Office confirmed that two men, Kristofer Wittman, 28, and Christian White, 53, had escaped the facility at about 6:15pm.

After an extensive manhunt, White was arrested in the Portland area Tuesday afternoon. In addition to the charges he was being held on, White faces additional charges for Escape 2nd Degree.

A Gresham woman, Teresa Lancaster, 63, was also taken into custody for Rendering Criminal Assistance and Criminal Conspiracy. Deputies say Lancaster allegedly played a role in the escape of both men.

Detectives are still looking for Wittman, who was being held in the jail on charges for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Attempt to Elude, Obstructing, Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended 2nd degree, Attempted Escape 2nd Degree, and Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree. Once he's recaptured, he will face additional charges of Escape in the 2nd Degree and Malicious Mischief 1st degree.

Anyone with information about Wittman's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
