One dead in Walla Walla shooting

WALLA WALLA, Wash.-- One person died, another was injured in a shooting at a home on Stadium Dr. near DeSalles High School in Walla Walla Friday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Walla Walla Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired shortly afternoon, and arrived two find two people with gunshot wounds.

One person died at the scene. The other was taken to St. Mary's with critical.

Police have classified both subjects as "victims," and say there is a person of interest in custody, and no danger to the public.

Stadium Dr. is closed while detectives investigate the shooting.
