Man hospitalized with severe head injury following ATV crash in Pasco

PASCO, Wash.-- One person was taken to the hospital with a serious head injury early Sunday morning following a rollover ATV crash in Pasco.

According to Sgt. Brad Gregory with the Pasco Police Department, friends and family of two men, who are ages 27 and 37, went out looking for the pair when they didn't return home after they had gone out to ride an ATV.

One of the searchers located the crash site in the area of Dent Rd. and Burns Rd. just inside the Pasco City limits at about 3:30 A.M. Sunday where they found a Polaris-style ATV on its side.

One man was found near the vehicle, suffering from a severe head wound, but he was conscious and alert at the time.

A second man, who was also ejected from the vehicle when it crashed, made it home despite his injuries.

Both men were taken to Kadlec, one in critical condition, the other in satisfactory condition.

Sgt. Gregory says investigators are still trying to determine which of the men was driving when the ATV crashed, and a warrant was issued for a blood draw on the men.

So far, no charges have been filed.
