Man Accused of Driving Pickup Truck Through Cemetery

(College Place, WA) -- One man is in custody after police in College Place say he drove drunk through a cemetery, smashing several headstones Tuesday. Police received a call around 3pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery. There they made contact with 67 year old Mark Medina of Milton Freewater, Oregon. He was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving and Hit and Run. Police found other damage to Medina's pickup indicating he may have hit other objects, including a possible telephone pole and a fence.
