
Kennewick teacher arrested for inappropriate communications with minors
Kennewick Police say a Horse Heaven Hills Middle School teacher has been arrested for allegedly sending sexually explicit videos of herself to students under the age of 16. Kennewick School District officials have confirmed that the teacher, who police have identified as 43-year old Tonie Reiboldt, has been suspended and told to have no contact with students.
According to a police report, several victims were involved, and they're investigating whether there may be others.
"Our district is fully cooperating with the Kennewick Police Department in the active investigation," said Robyn Chastain in a statement this afternoon. "The safety of our students is paramount. We take this situation seriously, and our administration is working diligently to take the strongest possible action to ensure our schools are safe places for students."
Reiboldt has been charged with three felony counts of Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes, and booked into the Benton County Jail before before being released on $15,000 bond.
