Kadlec postponing elective surgeries
RICHLAND, Wash.-- Kadlec is temporarily stopping elective inpatient and outpatient surgeries in order to practice social distancing and reduce the chances of spreading COVID-19.
Starting Thursday, March 19, surgeries for non-life threatening and non-urgent care at Kadlec hospital properties. The stoppage applies to procedures at the main hospital campus in Richland as well as the Tri-Cities Regional Surgery Center and Kadlec Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Officials say the move is part of the hospital's efforts to effectively respond to COVID-19.
Patients who are impacted by the change are being contacted to reschedule.
