F-22 will swoop over Columbia River for Water Follies air show
Planes, a jet, even a helicopter will swoop over the Columbia River as part of the HAPO “Over the River” Air Show.
Event Director Kathy Powell says everyone is waiting to watch the United States Air force Air Combat Command F-22 Demonstration Team this year.
"They do maneuvers that just seem like it's impossible," says Powell.
Former event President Ron Hue adds the air show used to be a separate event but it seemed like a natural fit to put the two events together. He says every year they just try to make it better than the last.
The line-up includes several planes this year, a all-women sky dive team, aerobatic air performance and a coast guard rescue demonstration.
The airshow is included with the Tri-City Water Follies admission and runs Friday to Sunday at 11:30 and 1:30.
Here's the full list of the teams that will be flying into Bergstrom Aircraft, behind the Tri-Cities Airport:

United States Air Force Heritage Flight P-51 Mustang
Buck Roetman (aerobatic air performance pilot)
