(Seattle, WA) -- Researchers say a beluga whale swimming in the waters of the Puget Sound is "thin, but not emaciated." The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released that assessment yesterday as they continue to monitor the whale. Beluga whales are native to the Arctic and sub-Arctic regions. It's the first time a beluga whale has been seen in this region since 1940.
