COLLEGE PLACE, Wash.-- Long-time College Place Public Schools Board Member Doug Case has wrapped up eleven years of service on the board.

Case was first elected to the Board of Directors for the school district in 2009, overseeing several building projects as enrollment for the district more than tripled.

According to a press release, Case was instrumental in the 2012 School Construction Bond that led to the construction of College Place High School, a new Davis Elementary School, Sager Middle School (formerly Meadowbrook Intermediate School site), and a new transportation facility. 

CPPS Board Chair Mandy Thompson stated, “On behalf of the board, I would like to extend a big thank you to Doug Case for his service on the CPPS School Board.  His dedication to, and knowledge of the community, along with his leadership have been a huge assets throughout his time of service.  Doug will be greatly missed and we wish him the very best.”

The school district is now looking for an interim at-large replacement for the District #4 seat on the school board, to finish Case's term which expires in November 2021. 

Anyone interested in applying needs to live within the District boundaries; supply a written biography and a statement as to why they are interested in running for the Board position.
