Police units from across the Tri-Cities worked to arrest two suspects Friday involved in a February shooting and robbery.

Commander Scott Child says 32-year-old Angel Martinez was arrested after a short standoff with Kennewick Police at a home off the 100 block of West 4th Ave. Kennewick police say when they arrived at a home off Washington St. Friday morning around 9:10 a.m. they blocked off several streets. Officers then called for people to come out of the home, a few people did. Officers say those people were able to identify the suspect police were looking for and said he was still in the home. After a short stand-off, officers took the suspect into custody.

Then around noon, Richland police say they were informed another suspect, Romero Sanchez, was seen in the area of the Hills community mobile home park in Richland, which was under surveillance. Child says the 21-year-old attempted to get into his car and leave the home off the 2400 block of Horizon View Lane, but police stopped him and took him into custody.

Commander Child says the other man, Victor Garcia, and a woman, Artmeisa Sanchez, were involved in the robbery and were taken into custody a few days ago.]

The Kennewick Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is continuing to finish the investigation with search warrants at both locations to find evidence from the original crimes.

Officers say on Febuary 19th, just after 8 p.m., a shooting related to a robbery occurred in the 1600 block of south Dayton Place of Kennewick.
