(Seattle, WA) --Alaska Airlines is set to spend millions of dollars in an attempt to fix its pilot shortage. The airline is partnering with Hillsboro Aero Academy in Oregon on a flight school program that will help students to get commercial pilot licenses. Graduates will then fly for Horizon Air, which is a sister carrier for Alaska Airlines.

The program will offer low-interest loans toward the education, and cover the cost of obtaining the license itself.
