COEUR D'ALENE, Id.-- Gonzaga men's basketball coach Mark Few is charged with driving under the influence after an arrest in Idaho Monday night. According to the report, Few was stopped just before 9 o'clock for driving erratically and speeding. The coach refused a field sobriety test, but did submit to two breathalyzer tests, which returned a point-119 and a point-120. In a statement made Tuesday, the coach apologized for not living up to the example he should be setting as a leader and role model.

"I believe as a leader and role model, I am expected to set only the best example," he said. "The decisions I made yesterday do not exemplify this standard and for that, I sincerely apologize to you all. I recognize that operating a motor vehicle after consuming any amount of alcohol exhibits poor judgment." said Few.

Few has been Head Coach since 1999.
