WALLA WALLA, Wash.-- The Walla Walla County Department of Health has released plans for a mass vaccination event for Saturday, January 23, 2021.

According to a press release, Providence St. Mary received about 1,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and is working with the health department to set up a community vaccination clinic.

The event is open to community members who meet the Washington State Department of Health's Phase 1A and Phase 1B Tier 1 eligibility:

  • High-risk workers in health care settings
  • High-risk first responders
  • Residents and staff of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other community-based, congregate living settings where most individuals over 65 years of age are receiving care, supervision, or assistance
  • All people 65 years and older
  • People 50 years and older in multigenerational households

An appointment is required to receive the vaccine at the clinic on Saturday. To schedule an appointment:

     Step 1: Visit the Washington State Department of Health Phase Finder Tool.
     Step 2: Complete the Phase Finder questions to verify eligibility. Even if you have completed the Phase Finder Tool before, please complete it again.
     Step 3: After verifying eligibility, click link to vaccine locations. Scroll or search for “Walla Walla County” in the list of counties.
     Step 4: Click “Walla Walla County”
     Step 5: Schedule your vaccine appointment by clicking the “Providence – Walla Walla,” link.
     Step 6: Scroll to the middle of the page and click “Click Here to Schedule Appointment”

Appointments may be rescheduled if the necessary vaccine doses are not available.
