Umpqua Bank To Join Columbia State Bank

(Portland, OR) --Two banks in the Pacific Northwest are planning to merge. Washington's Columbia State Bank will acquire Portland-based Umpqua Bank in a five-billion-dollar, all-stock deal. Both companies will retain their brands and headquarters. However, Umpqua intends to leave Downtown Portland for Lake Oswego sometime in 2022.
