Three Children Have Minor Injuries After Car vs. School Bus Crash in Kennewick

(Kennewick, WA) -- Three children from Cascade Elementary School were treated at the scene after police in Kennewick say a car, driven by an 18-year-old, slams into a school bus around 8:00am Tuesday off Gum Street and 27th Ave. Authorities say speed appears to be a factor in the crash, with the driver being cited and released from the scene. The impact of the crash was right below the driver's side of the bus. There were 14 children total aboard the bus. All were taken to Cascade on a different vehicle. No one else was injured.
